Your information

Privacy policy

Who we are

Chopple is a Noxx Studios app for recipes, pantry tracking, meal planning, and grocery lists. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Chopple or visit its website. For privacy questions or data requests, email darrius.g.stafford@gmail.com.

Google sign-in

Chopple uses Google sign-in through Supabase to authenticate you and connect you to your Chopple account. We request only openid, email, and basic profile permissions. Google supplies an account identifier, email address, and basic profile information, which can include a name and profile picture. Supabase processes this information for authentication and account management.

You choose your own Chopple username. Google sign-in does not itself publish your Google profile or email to the Chopple community. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or Google Photos.

Google account information is used to provide sign-in and account functions. Chopple’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Account and app information

Chopple stores your account identifier, email address, chosen username, submitted recipes, and ratings to provide account and community features. Recipes may include the ingredients, instructions, categories, and photos you choose to submit. We use this information to associate contributions with your account and make the features you request work.

Personal saved recipes currently also use storage on your device. Kitchen information you enter, such as pantry items, meal plans, and shopping lists, is used to provide the corresponding features. Clearing app or browser data can remove information saved only on that device. Do not assume a device-only recipe is backed up to your account.

Publishing and optional photos

When you choose to publish a recipe or photo, that content and your chosen Chopple username become public. Review the content and confirm your choice before publishing. Do not include information you do not want other people to see. Other people may copy or save public content, and removing it from Chopple cannot remove copies they have already made.

Adding a photo is optional. Photo selection is limited to images you choose; it does not require access to your Google Photos account. A device’s photo picker may be used to select an image. A selected photo becomes public when you choose to publish it with your content.

Service providers and sharing

Google and Supabase process information needed for sign-in and account services. Hosting infrastructure processes requests needed to operate the service, and mail providers process support messages. Information is shared with these providers as needed to perform those functions. Content you publish is shared publicly as described above. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law.

Chopple does not currently use analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or AI services that receive user data. Google sign-in information is used for the account purposes described in this policy.

Website visits and support messages

The public Chopple information pages do not require sign-in. Their screenshots, fonts, and other assets are served by this website, without analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party embeds. Our server processes technical request information, such as your IP address and the requested URL, to deliver pages and maintain the service.

If you email us, we use your email address and message to respond. The Noxx Studios contact form sends the name, email address, selected topic, and message you provide to the studio’s support mailbox. It uses temporary rate limits to help prevent abuse. Messages are handled by the mail server and mailbox provider.

Retention and security

We retain account and app information as needed to provide the features you use and handle support or data requests. Information may also need to be retained to comply with applicable legal obligations. Device-only data remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app’s storage, or otherwise delete it.

Requests involving private account information require verification that you control the account. Account access and deletion are handled through authorized account services, rather than by giving users database administrator access. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee complete security.

Access, correction, and deletion

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Chopple account and associated data, email darrius.g.stafford@gmail.com. Include your Chopple username and contact us from the email associated with your account where possible. We will verify the account before disclosing or deleting private information. Never send your password, sign-in codes, or access tokens.

No additional Google permission is needed for these requests. Tell us whether you want your account, particular contributions, or all associated app data removed. Requests are handled for the verified account, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. Data saved only on your device must also be removed on that device; deleting a server account does not automatically clear local storage or other people’s copies of public content.

You can revoke Google sign-in access in your Google Account connections. Revoking access does not by itself delete information already held by Chopple. Contact us separately to request deletion.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy as Chopple’s features or data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated through the service when available. Contact darrius.g.stafford@gmail.com with questions about this policy or your information.
